Splicing- How to choose the appropriate line & how to properly splice them

This course will focus on the applications of each type of line and the most important splices to know.

We will cover:

– 3-strand rope which is great for dock and anchor lines

– Double braid line which is a go to for halyards and sheets

– Dyneema/Spectra, which can be used for soft shackles, continuous loops, low stretch halyards and even as a lightweight, emergency standing rigging repair/alternative
