Bob Williams, founder and an owner of SALT Inc. (Sea Air Land Technologies), a company dedicated to helping clients meet their energy management needs whether in marine, land-based, or mobile environments. In 1978, Bob began working with boat builders in the US, Asia and Europe in designing fully engineered cruising systems. This focus has evolved to working more with the needs of the end user, especially cruising sailors, offering tailored energy solutions engineered for their individual offshore lifestyle where reliability and sustainability are paramount. Bob is an experienced yachtsman, holding a 100-Ton USCG license, having delivered many yachts throughout the Caribbean.  Currently he demonstrates his sustainable lifestyle while cruising his Beneteau Oceanus 473, Gitana.  He has developed a line of energy management monitors, eutectic refrigeration and DC icemakers.  A licensed pilot, he has used his plane to provide on site support for remote off-grid home systems in the Bahamas. Bob is a state-certified solar contractor, allowing SALT to become a significant player in providing residential, military and commercial solar systems in Florida, Africa and the Caribbean.  Bob expressed his environmental passions through the design and construction of a sustainable, passively-cooled home on Boot Key Harbor in Marathon, Florida.  He is experienced in full spectrum systems design and installations including refrigeration, desalination along with other power requirements that can be fully supported with sustainable energy production on world cruising yachts, off-grid homes.  He has written articles on these subjects for Bluewater Sailing, Cruising World and Practical Sailor Magazine.
