Staying Ship Shape (Sold Out) – When Your Boat Becomes a Gym
Start in shape, stay in shape – the joys and pitfalls of exercise on board. Cruising is not always the most physical of lifestyles, and staying in shape can mean the difference between a successful cruise and one that ends too soon. At the same time, working out on a boat comes with its own set of challenges, among them space and weight for equipment, the lack of a nearby gym with fitness classes, and the worry about what others might think if you’re choosing to exercise on deck or on the beach. We’ll talk about overcoming these challenges (and why working out is important) as we learn about basic body exercises, good equipment (and substitutes) for use on board. By the time class is over you will have created your own personalized exercise routine for use on board – and you’ll feel confident you can do it!
We will be physically active in this class, so wear comfortable clothing you can move in.
